The Art of Intelligent Movement
Being a GYROTONIC® trainer, you’re working with a system that focuses on three-dimensional, circular movements and fluid transitions. You are teaching people how to find decompression through movement and connect their breath to their nervous system.
If you are exploring this path or looking to deepen your practice, we encourage you to take a step closer to this wonderful practice in CASA Wellness & GYROTONIC®.
Whatever you're building, we're here to help you take the first step with confidence & ease.
The GYROTONIC® Certification Path.
Becoming a certified GYROTONIC® Level 1 Trainer is a rigorous, deeply immersive journey that typically takes 1 to 2 years to fully complete.
The curriculum is standardized globally by the GYROTONIC® Headquarters and the license is accredited worldwide. It is structured into four phases, taking you from a dedicated student to a practicing apprentice, and finally to a licensed professional.
-
Duration: 6 days (30 hours).
Conducted by a Certified Pre-Trainer, this intensive course focuses entirely on your own body. You will deeply study the Level 1 exercise list to ensure your physical execution is correct and build the stamina required for the next phase.
Timeline note: You must start Step 2 between one week and 3 months after completing this course.
-
Duration: 12 days (60 hours).
Conducted by a Gyrotonic Master Trainer, this is where you transition from doing the movements to learning how to teach them. You will learn the underlying physics, handling grips, verbal cues, and how to program a progressive sequence on the Pulley Tower.
The Milestone: Upon passing this course, you are officially granted a Gyrotonic Apprentice License (valid for 1 year) and can legally begin teaching paying clients.
-
Duration: 6 days (approx. 30 hours).
This is your phase of real-world practice. To complete your apprenticeship, you must fulfill two distinct tracks:
before this stage, you should be accumulating for 30 Teaching Hours: Working independently with clients in a studio setup.
30 Supervised Review Hours (6 days): A formal review course conducted by a Master Trainer to clean up your technique, address client case studies, and prepare you for your final exam.
Timeline note: A minimum of 6 months must pass between your Foundation Course and your Final Certification.
-
Duration: 3 days (approx. 18 hours).
The final practical assessment. You will be evaluated on your ability to physically demonstrate the movements flawlessly and safely guide a live person using appropriate physical adjustments and verbal cues.
Post-Certification: Keeping Your License Active
Once you pass the Final Certificate Course, you are a fully qualified Certified GYROTONIC® Trainer and are granted a trademark use license.
To maintain your active status, GYROTONIC® Headquarters requires trainers to complete at least one Continuing Education Course (CEC) every two years.
These CECs allow you to branch out into advanced Level 2 programs, specialized applications (like GYROTONIC® for golf, tennis, or scoliosis), or learn specialized equipment like the GYROTONIC® Jumping-Stretching Board and the GYROTONIC® Archway, GYROTONIC® Leg Extension Unit.
GYROTONIC® Specialized Equipment, all designed by creator Juliu Horvath.
While the Pulley Tower Combination Unit is the foundation found in every studio, the official line of specialized equipment consists of four distinct machines, each targeting different aspects of strength, deep stability, and multi-planar flexibility.
1. The Jumping-Stretching Board (JSB)
2. The Archway
3. The Gyrotoner®
4. The Leg Extension Unit (LEU)
